‘The magical mud’ luxury spa @ Irma Health Spa (Thermia Palace, Piestany)
Come and treat yourself to a healing mud bath! The mud pool is the signature treatment of Piestany’s spa and due to its finest quality it is one of the most effective in the world. Its mud is harvested from the banks of the town’s river Vah and is uniquely rich in sulphur and hydrogen sulphide which gives it a powerful therapeutic action.

Test the healing power of this sulphurous mud and hot thermal mineral water that both have given Piestany’s spas its centuries-long, global reputation. A ‘Castle experience’ tour with wine tasting
If you want to learn a bit more about the rich history of this little town, let us take you for a private guided tour of Hlohovec baroque castle dating back to the 11 th century. It is located on the top of hill overlooking the city. We will take you there through the beautiful castle gardens containing majestic ancient 200 year old plane trees. The castle tour includes professional commentary from live guides, but you will also get a tablet and 3D glasses to get a true experience and to help visualise certain areas of the castle. Within the castle complex, the Empire Theatre is also located which is the oldest standing theatre in Slovakia. To enrich this historic experience, we prepared wine tasting of locally produced wines from the region for you led by experienced sommeliers.

‘Golf & Relax’ @ Golf and Country Club Piestany
Golf & Country Club invites golf enthusiasts to come and enjoy a game of golf in this beautiful nine-hole course golf club with a 105 years of tradition. One the first golf courses in Slovakia where even Fidel Castro came to play during his visit here. The president of the club and an experienced pro-coach will be at your disposal throughout your game to elevate your experience. You’ll get to learn more about the history of golf in our country and hopefully learn a few tricks to perfect your game, whether that is working on your short game, master course management or perfecting your golf swing at the club’s driving range. The club is very conveniently situated close to the spa complex where you can rest after mastering your golf game on the course. The price includes a game of golf, rental of the golf clubs and the services of the instructor.

‘Beer & Grill’ - Local brewery beer tasting & al fresco dining
Exploring regional beer styles and local foods not only allows you to appreciate different flavours that each beer or dish brings, but also provides insight into history, traditions, and cultural significance that they bring. Thus, if you prefer a relaxed outdoor dining experience with live music, making the most of the summer nights weather, with a cold beer in your hand and some well-prepared meat on a grill, let us take you to a local spot to enjoy just that! You get to taste locally produced beers from a brewery just across the river as well as some other Slovak regions. The beers are also used in the preparation of this restaurant’s dishes to elevate the flavours of the meat. To enhance your experience further, one of the makers of the local beers himself will be guiding the beer tasting to help you truly appreciate the nuances of each brew and will explain the brewery’s history and the process of production.
